“PLOT TWIST” Makes U.S. Premiere in Atlanta — A Must-See Live Drama for Soap Fans

Soap fans, this is one you don’t want to miss. The Conasauga Shakespeare Coalition is bringing something truly special to the stage with the U.S. premiere of PLOT TWIST, a gripping new live production from Emmy Award-winning Santa Barbara creator Jerome “Jerry” Dobson.

Even more exciting? The show is directed by Lane Davies—yes, Mason Capwell himself—making this a full-circle moment for longtime fans of the iconic daytime drama. Now playing at Synchronicity Theatre in Atlanta, PLOT TWIST takes audiences behind the scenes of the high-stakes, glamorous, and often chaotic world of 1980s daytime television.

At the center of the story is Henry, a talented soap writer whose life begins to unravel as the lines between fiction and reality blur. Add in ambition, betrayal, desire—and a hidden gun—and you’ve got a story where anything can happen. And unlike television…there are no retakes.“This is soap opera storytelling the way you’ve never experienced it before,” Davies shares. “On stage, the stakes are higher because it’s all happening live.”

With executive production by six-time Daytime Emmy winner Chrystal Ayers and original music by Santa Barbara composer Dominic Messinger, the production blends classic soap intensity with the raw, unpredictable energy of live theatre.
